Legal work is undertaken by the independent law firm Fife Community Law Limited. The firm is registered with and governed by the Law Society of Scotland and our solicitors hold current practising certificates.
Acting Principal Solicitor - Calvin Gordon
Calvin deals primarily with mortgage and rent arrears cases. Calvin joined the team in January 2013 and has a background in private practice. Calvin attends Scottish Association of Law Centre meetings on our behalf.
Welfare Rights Adviser - Judy Haddow
Judy is a former volunteer at Fife Law Centre. After graduating with a degree in law from Edinburgh University she gained extensive experience in the third sector. Judy joined us as our Welfare Rights Adviser in September 2013 to help deal with the ongoing impact of welfare reform. Judy is also part of our employment team.
Legal Administrator - Chavdar (Charles) Georgiev
Charles is our administrative assistant. He has extensive legal and adminstrative experience in America and was registered with the California Bar Association as a Foreign Law Consultant. He ran is his own corporate and real estate practice in Sofia, Bulgaria before his relatively recent arrival in the UK. He is currently undertaking the necessary work to be able to practise law in Scotland.
